The principles that guide our work in Aurora Township.
What we believe
These principles guide how we serve Aurora, North Aurora, and Montgomery.
We believe “that all men are created equal,” that our rights are “endowed” by God, not man, and that the government derives its power by “consent of the governed.”
We believe in the sanctity of life, that each unborn baby is a unique human being, a gift from our Creator, and worthy of protection.
We believe freedom of religion is guaranteed by the First Amendment of the Constitution. We support your individual right to your faith without fear of government interference.
We believe in the right of the individual to defend yourself, your family, and your property. This right is protected by the Second Amendment of our U.S. Constitution.
We believe that parents, based on their values, regardless of income, should have the choice to determine where their children go to school.
We believe that the citizens of Aurora, North Aurora, and Montgomery know best what to do with every dollar earned and have the right to keep their hard-earned money, and they are best positioned to create wealth and opportunities for their families.
We support policies that support Illinois job creators, big and small, that foster entrepreneurship, promote job growth, and allow Illinois workers to participate in new and emerging markets.
We believe in supporting our local, state, and federal law enforcement officers, who daily protect our neighborhoods, families, and communities.
